5 Things to Do This Month in Maryland Heights: December 2018

Come see what’s happening this December in Maryland Heights!


The holiday season kicks off with Santa visiting Westport Plaza on Saturday, December 1st from 10am – Noon! The event will take place on the second floor of our Indoor Mall. Each family will receive one complimentary photo with the donation of one new, unwrapped toy. Toys will be donated to Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital ( this holiday season. Balloon twisting, face painting, holiday crafts, a goodie bag for each child and entertainment by DaySpring School of the Arts will also be complimentary during the event. Keep the holiday celebration going with carriage rides on Saturdays from 6:30-9:30 p.m. throughout the month of December, ending with a spectacular New Year’s Eve event. Gather friends and family outside Westport’s outdoor village at 6pm to watch a vibrant array of colors burst into the air and bring 2019 in style. Finish up the night with carriage rides that follow the show, beginning at 7:00 pm.

HOLIDAY YOUTH CLIMBING CLINICS | Multiple Dates in December – Upper Limits

Looking for some fun this holiday break? Take fun to the max with Holiday Youth Clinics! Learn all about rock climbing and the excitement and adventure that goes with it. Whether or not you know how to climb, join us for 2-day clinics this December! Clinics will include: an instruction to climbing equipment, open climbing with staff instructors, climbing technique, games, and team-building activities. Ages 7-15 welcome!

SANTA’S WORKSHOP | December 15th – Maryland Heights Community Center

Santa’s workshop is a safe place for kids to explore their imagination this Christmas. Kids aged 4-9 can create their own personalized holiday gifts and crafts, and all will leave with a handful of wrapped gifts for their friends and families! The workshop is hands-on, so kids should wear tennis shoes and active clothing. The fee for residents is $25, while members pay $20, and lunch is included for both.
